After reading On Becoming Babywise and experiencing the success of its principles, we were approached about joining a “Growing Kids” class (now called “Along the Virtuous Way”). This class was so eye opening, challenging and inspiring. Every week we came away with solid truth that encouraged us and equipped us in the tough job of parenting. Most of us would agree that raising children is one of, if not the most important job we have been given by God to do, but how many of us devote time to learning how to do it better? Setting aside two hours a week for a few months for a parenting class is really a small investment when you look at the eternal impact it will have on you, your children and others. We have been encouraged to teach our children with moral and biblical principles that have shaped our children’s characters, and our family as a whole, toward a more Chris-centered approach. We have learned basic Biblical principles that we did not have growing up. In addition we learned words and insights to share with our children that we would not have known. I thank God for the GFI material. We found it to be well grounded in the Bible. I feel the leaders are strong Christian people that strive to make the arduous task of parenting a joyful one with clear boundaries in which children can ultimately thrive.
