The Genesis of GEMS
The GEMS ministry was born out of prayer and the expressed need of moms for regular encouragement and support in carrying out the principles presented in the GFI curricula. Through teaching and fellowship with like-minded moms, GEMS strives to offer practical help to meet these goals in a warm and inviting atmosphere.

GEMS is under the spiritual authority of Grace Pointe, Naperville, as part of the GFI Ministries of that church. GEMS is however, a financially self-supporting ministry. Therefore, a small registration fee is required of each mother to fund the GEMS ministry and of each child who is part of the Nuggets childcare program. |

GEMS Gatherings |
|
|
The GEMS season begins in September with the Cornerstone Gathering: a dinner for GEMS moms and their husbands, featuring a special speaker. GEMS then meets the third Friday of the month from 9 – 11 am, October through April (no Gathering in December), at Grace Pointe, Naperville. In January GEMS is a couples evening. New for this season, will be a men’s evening in March. Finally, May is an evening gathering for moms. |

The GEMS Gatherings begin with fellowship time, and reviewing scripture memory. In the Gathering room our spirits are refreshed by tables set with lovely decorations and a buffet spread with an array of enticing refreshments. The teaching time features a speaker who will motivate, encourage and challenge you in your role as a wife and mother through Biblical teaching while building on the principles from the GFI curricula. |

REGISTRATION INFORMATION |

| REGISTRATION OPTIONS: |
| |
Month by Month Registration – You may register yourself and your children for individual GEMS gatherings. Simply return the GEMS registration form and payment indicating which month you are registering for. Please be aware, however, that in order to provide adequate staffing for our Nuggets program (our childcare program - see Nuggets brochure), we require registration with payment at least two weeks prior to the gathering date. If you choose to register month by month, a registration form (available at GEMS gatherings) is necessary for each GEMS gathering you plan to attend.

Advance Registration – This option allows you to register for any or all gatherings in advance for you (7 gatherings total), your children (5 gatherings total), and your husband (January & March). When you register in advance there is no need to fill out forms for each gathering and your child(ren)’s place will be guaranteed for the Nuggets program. Simply return the GEMS registration form with your payment, mark your calendar and join us the third Friday of each month. Refunds are not available for gatherings missed.

Ladies –$2.00 per gathering.
|

Children under age 10 –$5.00 per child per gathering, with a $15.00 family maximum.

Husbands –$2.00 each time for the January & March evening gatherings.

| The Saturday morning GEMS Gatherings are for ladies only. Time will be from 10 am to 12 noon. No childcare provided. Cost is $2.00 per session. |
